Redding  Area
An attractive, well-equipped RV park awaited us just north of Redding.  We used it as a base for a couple of weeks, relaxed for a bit, and traveled around the area.  The weather was warmer with no rain and we reveled in it.
We toured through old Whiskeytown and Lewiston (below).
A guided tour provided historical insights in a Chinese temple (Joss House) in Weaverville.
We also took a guided tour down 12 stories into the Shasta Dam, between   Shasta Lake and the Sacramento River.
On our last night in Redding, we crossed the magnificent Sundial Bridge at sunset.  It's an amazing piece of sculpture, and was a fitting finale to our stay in this lovely area.
